We often get a lot of the same questions from potential clients interested in booking a session with us.  Hopefully the below Frequently Asked Questions will explain how we work, but of course we are always happy to answer any additional questions that you have!  We’ve also setup a separate Newborn FAQ page that addresses newborn session specific questions.

How much will our session cost?  What is included in your session fee?

Our Creative Fee for a baby, child or family session is $125+tax and is due at the time of booking your session to secure your spot on our calendar.  Your Creative Fee covers our time and talent before, during and after your session as we narrow down and fully edit your images for your viewing.  The Creative Fee does not include any prints, digital files or products.  We have a $200 minimum order requirement on all sessions ($350 for newborn sessions), however, most of our clients invest upwards of $700 on a full session with us.  Please contact us for our details Art & Services Guide!

Can I purchase a disk of images from our session?

Yes!  We offer the option to purchase printing rights to your digital images from your session.  They are available to purchase as a part of our Collections or a la carte after a minimum investment of $500.  We also include the web-sized, watermarked images for your personal use online with the purchase of digital images or a Collection.

Do you have any specials or discounts available?

Yes!  For all sessions that are booked at least 4 weeks in advance, we offer a $50 credit towards your purchase of any of our Collections!

If a full session is a bit out of your budget, or you just need a few updated photos, then a Mini Session might be a great option for you!  Be sure to sign up for our e-newsletter to be the first to know about upcoming mini sessions and other events.

When do you schedule sessions?

Our current availability can always be seen on our online scheduling page.  We have general session availability on most weekdays and offer Saturday sessions as well.  Our sessions do tend to book up 4-6 weeks in advance since we take a limited number of sessions per month, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to guarantee your preferred session date and time.

What should we wear for our session?

We are so pleased to offer a complimentary consultation with our Client Stylist, Taci!  She will work with you in the weeks leading up to your session to define the look and style you would like to have for your portraits.  She will make wardrobe and accessory recommendations for you and work with you to ensure that your own personal style is reflected in your session!

How many outfits changes are included in our session?

We usually recommend 2-3 outfit changes for a typical session full session.  Mini sessions only include one outfit.

How long does it take until we can see our photos?

Once our session is over, we will review the photos and narrow them down to only the best of the best images.  We will then fully edit each image to meet our artistic vision and style.  Your photos will usually be ready within 2 weeks from the date of your session, but during the busy fall season, turnaround time is closer to 3 weeks.

How can we order our photos?

We love meeting with clients at our Rosemount Studio to assist them in ordering their portraits!  We will project your gallery of proofs on a large projection screen.  We will review and select your favorites images for ordering.  We also have all of our sample products available and make wall art recommendations that would work well in your home.

Once we have ordered, how long until we receive our photos?

Most orders are ready within 2-3 weeks with the exception of session albums that involve design time.  Digital images are sent via download within 48 hours of your order and we include a beautiful custom CD Case and disk with your order for longer term storage.

Can we put our images on Facebook/online?

We do post our favorite images from your session on our blog and Facebook after your order is placed and paid in full.  We are happy to tag you in the images, or you can tag yourselves.  If you have purchased the digital images from your session, you are welcome to use them online as is outlined in the Limited Print Release included with your digital images.

How long do you keep our photos?  What do you do with all the “other photos”?

We guarantee your final proofs for one year from your session date as long as the minimum investment requirement has been met.  All of the “other photos” from your session are deleted after your order is placed and we then archive your final edited proofs.
